Test Performed

Conduct three successive tests to measure the average peak load in pounds of Bumperite Waterguard Sealable Scaffold Ties. Measure safety factor by dividing average peak load by four (4).

Total: 79,581 lbs
Average Peak Load: 79,581 lbs divided by 3 = 26,527 lbs.
Safety Factor: 26,527 lbs. divided by safety factor of (4) = 6,631 lbs.

2. Water Intrusion - Smith-Emery Laboratories, Los Angeles, California

Test Performed

ASTM E331 -00: Standard test method for water penetration of exterior windows, skylights, doors, and curtain walls by uniform static air pressure difference. Sprayed with continuous water for 15 minutes with 15 lbs of negative pressure.

Test Performed

Conduct three successive tests to measure the average peak load in pounds of competitors' scaffold ties. Measure safety factor by dividing average peak load by four (4).

Results

2. Tomarco AB90 Fastener clip with 1/4" X 1-1/2" wedge anchor
